Hello again.
It's been a long time since I've posted a page on my blog.
A lot has happened since then. We moved AGAIN!
It's our 3rd move in 16 months. I feel like a nomad.

~Nomad: /ˈnoʊmæd/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [noh-mad]
a member of a people or tribe that has no permanent abode but moves about from place to place, usually seasonally and often following a traditional route or circuit according to the state of the pasturage or food supply

Now, we are not seeking pasturage or food supply (especially since Food Lion in only 3.5 miles away now), but I'm ready to yank out my hair, build a teepee in the woods, and live there for the rest of my life. : )

I had a very nice 11th birthday, complete with party and all. A lot of my friends came. Here is a pic of the big hooten-nannie.

Super Post

I entered a Lego Magazine Star Wars building challenge. Here is the picture of my model.

Here is the essay that submitted with the photo:

"The name of my model for the Lego Star Wars Building Challenge is the 'Super Nova Droid Radar'. It will help Anakin and Ahsoka locate R2-D2. The first computer (located behind Ahsoka) is given a reading from the satellite on top of the radar system. The second computer, located on Ahsoka's left, tells who the droid is thru the satellite on top of the system. It's power source is red diamonds plugged into the cooling jet behind Ahsoka and the pipes with blue tips (on the bottom of the system, next to Anakin), sucks lava from the middle of the planet. The lava is also a part of it's power source. The heat from the lava gives the radar power surge on Tatooine where the sand storms come often. The first radar has a back up power supply (a blue diamond), also with a brown cooling fan. The yellow diamond on the top of the large radar is a power booster for the satellite."

If I win the contest, I will win a $100.00 dollar lego gift card.

I have some Tim Hawkins videos that I you would enjoy. (Tim Hawkins is a very cool Christian comedian.)

Sabbath Report

The sabbath was first introduced in the Bible in the book of Genesis, in which was the story of creation of the world is found. God created the world in six days. God finished the world on the sixth day. He blessed the seventh day for rest.

The Ten Commandments are the cornestone of Jewish religion. The fourth commandment says, "Remember the Sabbath is holy. Six days you shall labor, but the seventh is the Sabbath. You shall not work on the Sabbath." The commandment meant something to the world. It meant a weekly day of rest. From the beginning of time there was work. Moses led the Jews out of Egypt onto Mt. Sinia where God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses, which the fouth commandment came from.

For centuries the sabbath has been a holy day. The shofar signaled the Sabbath. At the first bolw, all the farmers went home. At the second blow, all the shops closed. At the third blow, the Sabbath candals were lit, and the last three blows welcomed the Sabbath Day.

MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY

I have not written on my blog for a long time (sorry!) I have been moving.

Today is my little brother's "Gotcha Day". A "gotcha day" is the day that we "got" Ben. Today has been three years since Benjamin came to be a Galyean. We got him a Little Einstein's laptop to play with. We plan to play Blue's Clues to find it. He loves Blue's Clues. We also give him a little something from Guatemala every year. When we were in Guatemala we bought stuff to give him each year for 18 years.
I had to move away from my friends when we moved and I was very sad. So, we keep in contact by phone. That's really nice that we still get to talk to each other. Maybe someday I'll get to go visit them. We also like to talk about Lego Star Wars II. They told me to take a picture of myself with a blank background. I took the picture and sent it to them. When they sent it back, this is what I saw:

Pretty cool, huh?

The Battleship North Carolina and more

I went to the beach (Wrightsville---named after the Wright Brother!!!) and we had a very good time. I also went to see the Battleship U.S.S. North Carolina. It was in Wilmington. I learned that it was actually sunk, but they pulled it out. They had lots of neat stuff on the ship like ice cream, a bakery, and even a barber shop. They did the laundry in their "skivies" (undergarments) because it was so hot in the belly of the ship. You could actually go into some of the big guns and then some of the small guns you could put your hands on. The ship is from WWII. Here is a slideshow of our trip.

This video is about a author tour. Katie (one of my sister) is in a contest for Bryan Davis who is one of the authors.
